Centennial Kickoff Event

Thank you for celebrating our

Centennial Kickoff

October 3-4, 2015.

SJC Brooklyn • SJC Long Island

As President Jack P. Calareso, Ph.D., welcomed the community and Janine Stange ’99 belted out a glorious Star Spangled Banner, St. Joseph’s College’s centennial officially began. The celebration, which was kicked off through events held at SJC Long Island (October 3) and SJC Brooklyn (October 4), brought together families, alumni, faculty, staff and our students—in SJC style

At SJC Long Island, children of all ages enjoyed face painting, pumpkin decorating and other family-driven events under the tent outside of the John A. Danzi Athletic Center. Other events included: SJC Long Island thumping Maritime, 5-0, in women’s soccer, Stacey Smith ’09 performing hilarious improv in the Clare Rose Playhouse, and workshops on financial aid and work-life balance headed by key SJC staffers, as well as a faculty-alumni reception.

Several signature events will be cornerstones of the celebration, such as reviving the Presidential Lecture series and the Centennial Gala. More information on those events will be coming soon.
