Celebrate the Present
Today, nearly 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students call St. Joseph’s College home. And today, we have plenty to celebrate.
Our recent successes are highlighted by the successful outcomes of each individual student. As an institution, we have also established innovative programming that can keep the College relevant for years to come.
Among the many points of pride, SJC has officially placed itself in the distance-learning world by launching SJC Online in summer 2015, making more programs available to the already offered and successful E.M.B.A. and organizational management programs. A total of 15 programs can now be taken by students across the Northeast, and eventually across the United States and around the globe.
Through grant funding, we’ve also completed a beautification process to both SJC Long Island and SJC Brooklyn that has made both locations more attractive and a viable resource to students seeking to learn with the latest technologies.
In spring 2015, SJC Long Island alumnus Blaise Bennardo ’10 received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) Grant, where he will travel to Malaysia to teach American English at the secondary schools throughout the country.
SJC Brooklyn continues to grow and expand its academic offerings. And the Bears have embraced The Hill Center — a 40,000-square-foot facility on Vanderbilt Avenue — as their home. Opening the facility was the centerpiece to significant growth, splitting SJC Brooklyn’s move to NCAA Division III status and the Skyline Conference.
SJC Long Island athletics has been just as successful, earning the Skyline Conference’s Presidents Cup, which measures overall excellence by an academic program, for the fifth time. The Golden Eagles are consistent competitors within the conference and exceptional students in the classroom with 205 out of 276 athletes earning a 3.0 GPA or higher.
